Removal of Zn(II) and Mn(II) by Ion Flotation from Aqueous Solutions Derived from Zn-C and Zn-Mn(II) Batteries Leaching

The Zn(II) and Mn(II) removal by an ion flotation process from model real dilute aqueous solutions derived waste batteries was studied in this work. research aimed to determine optimal conditions for the of after acidic leaching Zn-C Zn-Mn batteries. carried out at ambient temperature atmospheric pressure. Two organic compounds used as collectors were applied, i.e., m-dodecylphosphoric acid 32 m-tetradecylphosphoric 33 presence a non-ionic foaming agent (Triton X-100, 29). It found that both can be process. Process parameters have been established collective or selective metals, e.g., good selectivity coefficients equal 29.2 over achieved 10 min using collector 29 pH = 9.0.
